  • Yarn weight: Light (3)
  • Contrast A: Sorbet (50004) – 1 ball (545 yds / 495 m)
  • Contrast B: Amethyst (50009) – 1 ball (520 yds / 475 m)
  • Total: Approx. 1065 yds / 970 m
  • Hook: U.S. G/6 (4 mm) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Notions: Yarn needle

Finished Size & Gauge

  • Size: Approx. 35″ x 39″ [89 x 99 cm]
  • Gauge: 16 sc and 19 rows = 4″ [10 cm]

Instructions

Notes:

  • Ch 3 at beginning of row counts as dc.
  • When working in Stripe Pat, carry unused yarn up the side edge, weaving in and out around the post of the first dc.

Stripe Pattern

  • With A, work 6 rows.
  • With B, work 6 rows.
  • These 12 rows form Stripe Pat.

Blanket

With A, ch 140.
Row 1 (RS): 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. (139 sc)
Row 2: Ch 3, 1 dc in first sc (counts as 2 dc), *skip next 2 sc, (1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) in next sc; rep from * to last 3 sc, skip next 2 sc, 2 dc in last sc. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, 1 sc in each of first 3 dc, *1 sc in next ch-1 sp, 1 dc in each of next 2 dc; rep from * to last dc, 1 sc in last dc. Turn.

First 3 rows of Stripe Pat are complete.

Cont in Stripe Pat and rep last 2 rows until Blanket measures approx. 39″ [99 cm], ending with 6 rows of any color. Fasten off.
