  • Cardboard 7″ [18 cm] wide (for tassels)

  • 11.5 single crochet and 14 rows = 4″ [10 cm]

*Skip next 3 ch. Sl st in next ch. Skip next 3 ch. (4 dc. Ch 1. 4 dc) in next ch – Shell made. Rep from * to last 8 ch.
Skip next 3 ch. Sl st in next ch. Skip next 3 ch. (4 dc. Ch 1. 8 dc. Ch 1. 4 dc) all in last ch – last “circle” made.

Do not turn. Work in remaining loops of foundation chain:
Skip next 3 ch. Sl st in next ch (the same ch where sl st was made).

Tassels (Make 10)

Wrap yarn around a 7″ [18 cm] piece of cardboard 15 times.
Tie securely at one end. Cut across other end.
Wrap yarn 6 times around tassel 1½” [4 cm] from tied end and fasten securely.
Attach tassels at each “circle” across short sides of Shawl.
