Materials
- Medium weight yarn (approx.):

Notes
- Ruana is worked in two separate panels that are then joined together lengthwise, but only halfway.
- Yarn is held doubled throughout.
- This is an oversized garment. For the best fit, stretch arms out to either side so that elbows are at shoulder height. Measure from elbow to elbow to determine width, then follow instructions with the finished measurement that best matches.
- Beginning ch-2 and ch-3 do not count as stitches.
- When changing colors, assure at least 10″ (25.5 cm) of yarn tail is left; weave ends into tassels at the end.

Finishing
Assembly
Hold panels with right sides facing together and wrong sides facing out. Assure that final row sts of both panels are aligned evenly with each other. With B, slip st the panels together from center of row outward to the edge. Fasten off.
Tassels
Attach a tassel at the edge of each treble crochet (tr) row:
Cut 20 lengths of yarn (matching row color), each 8″ (20.5 cm). Fold in half. Using crochet hook, pull the folded edge through the edge tr stitch. Pull loose ends through the loop and tighten. Weave in yarn ends into the tassel to hide them. Trim tassels evenly.
