Buckleberry Ridge Crochet Hat Pattern

The instructions are written for S. If changes are necessary for larger size the instructions will be written S (L). Numbers for each size are shown in the same color throughout the pattern. When only one number is given in black, it applies to both sizes.


Notes:
• For Versions 1 and 2 make Hat with A and Pompom with B.
• Hat is worked side to side.


Hat

Ch 29 (31) leaving a 24″ [61 cm] long end for seaming later.
1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 28 (30) sc.
2nd row: Ch 1. Working in back loops only, 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
Rep 2nd row until work from beg measures 18 (20)” [45.5 (51) cm], ending on a WS row.
Fasten off.


Finishing

Using end from foundation ch, weave yarn through top of Hat and gather tog securely.
Sew center back seam.
Turn back cuff as shown in photo.


Pompom

Wind yarn B around 4 fingers 150 times.
Tie tightly in the middle and leave a long end for attaching to Hat.
Cut loops at both ends and trim to smooth round shape.
Sew securely to top of Hat as shown in photo.
