Pattern Instructions

Note: Ch 3 at beginning of rows counts as a dc.

Foundation

Ch 177 (multiple of 4 + 1)

Row 1 (WS): 1 dc in 4th ch from hook (counts as 2 dc), 1 dc in each ch to end. Turn. (175 dc)
Row 2 (RS): Ch 3, *1 dcfp around next st, 1 dcbp around each of next 3 sts; rep from * to last 2 sts, 1 dcfp around next st, 1 dc in last st. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 3, *1 dcbp around next st, 1 dc in each of next 3 sts; rep from * to last 2 sts, 1 dcbp around next dc, 1 dc in last dc. Turn.


Repeat Pattern

Rep Rows 2 and 3 (waffle pattern) until blanket measures 48″ [122 cm], ending on a RS row. Fasten off.


Finishing Touches

  • Weave in all ends neatly with a yarn needle.
  • Lightly block if desired to even out the texture.
